ShawnGG is a sole proprietorship owned and run by Shawn Gregory Grabenstetter. That’s me!

I am a classically trained illustrator with a “fine art” style and I am also a writer. But overall what I do is make games. It is a core part of my self, and I will probably do it until the day I die. My specific niche is in narrative design and world building, as well as RPG class design. I see them as going hand in hand. For illustrations my strength is in color theory and design. I like drawing cute women and buff men, and clouds are pretty cool too. Really I just like creating the impression of a specific narrative, or chasing ideas that I have about color relation.

Maybe you just wanted a little background on me? Well I’m from upstate/western New York. Games are my passion and I spend a lot of time playing and learning about them, as well as making them! For my hobbies I read fantasy when I get the chance, but finding and listening to new music is my main time spender. I mostly jam to Japanese Hiphop and Trance. I lived in Columbus Ohio for a time, and I’ve been all over the US traveling. I also spent a lot of time pre 9/11 in Canada, and in 2019 I went to Japan to celebrate releasing my first game. And you bet I spent over $150 on Japanese CDs when I was there so I could have the music physically. I capped myself on 10 CDs during the trip, but I ended up importing two more not a month later once I knew where to look. I also got a JP PS2 for $7 bucks! No cables though.
